JURY FOR EUROPEAN, FRENCH & BRITTANY COMPETITIONS
MEGAN NORTHAM
ACTOR

Megan Northam began her career in Thomas Vernay’s Miss Chazelles, a short film from which the poster for the 39th Brest Festival was taken. After Constance Meyer’s Robuste , Megan Northam played in Mikhaël Hers’ Les Passagers de la nuit, Jeanne Aslan and Paul Saintillan’s Fifi and Cédric Klapisch’s Salade Grecque. In 2024, she stars in Jérémy Clapin’s Pendant ce temps sur Terre, Mareike Engelhardt’s Rabia, which she will premiere at the Festival, and Lucie Prost’s Fario alongside Finnegan Oldfield.
KHIR-DIN GRID
PRODUCER

Khir-Din Grid produced his first feature film in Aubervilliers at the age of 20, Rue Des Cités by Carine May and Hakim Zouhani (2013), which was selected at Cannes (Acid) and the Festival Premiers Plans. He runs Nouvelle Toile Productions, which produced the first short films by Yassine Qnia, Baer Xiao and co-produced Raphaël Quenard and Hugo David’s L’Acteur , nominated for a César in 2024. He is currently developing several projects, including a series adaptation of Faïza Guène’s novel Les Gens du Balto.
JULIE ROUÉ
COMPOSER

After a few years as a sound editor, Julie Roué turned to composing with Léonor Serraille’s Jeune femme. This was followed by Erwan Le Duc’s Perdrix , Emma Benestan’s Fragile , Cécile Ducrocq’s Une femme du monde, Ann Sirot & Raphaël Balboni’s Le Syndrome des amours passées and Erwan Le Duc’s La Fille de son Père, as well as the series HP, Parlement and Sous Contrôle. In 2024, her credits include Émilie Noblet’s Bis Repetita, and the series Zorro, Pierre Schoeller’s Dans l’ombre, and Erwan Le Duc’s Le Monde n’existe pas (Best Original Score - Séries Mania).
LAHOUCINE GRIMICH
PRODUCER

Lahoucine Grimich joined De l’autre côté du Périph’ in 2012 after a career at L’Oréal. With a passion for cinema, he quickly became part of Laurence Lascary’s team, where he first took on the role of artistic director before becoming producer. He became involved in the film industry in two important associative roles: he is a member of the board of directors of Collectif 50/50, and for seven years sat on the board of directors of the Fédération des Jeunes Producteurs Indépendants.
FANNY DE DONCEEL
CASTING DIRECTOR

Fanny de Donceel began her career as an actor, but soon turned to casting. She began casting children and teenagers for Valérie Donzelli, Olivier Dahan and Léonor Serraille, among others. She then moved on to casting adults for Dominik Moll (La Nuit du 12 and Dossier 137), Lisa Azuelos (La Chambre des Merveilles), Audrey Estrougo (Suprêmes), Alice Vial (Septième ciel and L’Âme idéale). In television, she has worked on Candice Renoir, Trepalium, La Guerre des mondes, Jeune et Golri and Winter Palace. Fanny is a member of A.R.D.A., l’Association des Responsables de Distribution Artistique.
YOUTH JURY EUROPEAN COMPETITION
EUROPEAN YOUTH JURY AWARD
Final year high-schoolers specialized in cinema at Lycée Saint François in Lesneven will discover the three programs in the European competition, debate and take to the stage together at the awards ceremony to present the winning film for the Youth Europe Jury Prize, donated by our partner Universciné.

PRIX DU JURY JEUNE FRANCE
Five students from the Lycée Jules Lesven will have the task of awarding the Prix du Jury Jeune France, donated by our partner Universciné, to one of the 11 films selected for the French competition.
YOUNG AMBASSADOR JURY
PRIX ALICE GUY


The Alice Guy Award will be presented by a Jury made up of 7 Young Ambassadors of cinema in Brest, as part of a program supported by the CNC, in partnership with Cinéphare and Clair Obscur. Since 2018, the Alice Guy Award has highlighted the talent of contemporary female directors in the tradition of the first of them, Alice Guy (1873-1968). Launched by journalist and author Véronique Le Bris, it honors a French feature film each year, and here rewards a short film by a female director in French or Brittany competition. The Alice Guy Award at the Brest Film Festival is sponsored by our partner Maison du Film.
